PRINCIPLES

MINIMISING WASTE

The operation of rice milling generates a lot of waste as husks and bran are removed from the individual grains. We ensure that this waste is kept to a minimum and reprocessed. In addition all cardboard and discarded packaging is recycled. Through our efforts, less than 5% of our total waste is sent to landfill sites and we are working hard to reduce this figure even more.

INVESTING IN THE FUTURE

As a privately owned industry, we do not have the same responsibilities to shareholders and can reinvest back into the business to enable expansion whether it be on an operational level, entering new markets or creating new innovative products.

SOCIAL SERVICE

  • As a multinational business, we understand that we have a duty of care towards our society, and it is important that we look out for those less fortunate than us.
  • We support charities, where we can make a positive difference to the lives of those the charity is trying to help. More often than not it is the charities who, due to their size, do not have the publicity and recognition that some of the larger charities command.
  • The main objectives of our company is to protect the interest of the workers and fulfilling the legal requirement of laws applicable to us.
  • Our company does not engage child labor. We are paying over and above the minimum wages to our workers. We treat all our employees equally irrespective of caste or religion and race etc.
  • Our company had organized medical camps in and around the factory, which is surrounded by villages. We had provided free medical assistance and financial assistance to the needy persons.
  • During the natural calamities in recent years, we had generously donated loads of rice to the victims, even though our processing unit was affected by that calamities.
  • We have clear vision about the growth of rural masses and help them to improve the standard of living, with various plans in years to come.
